The purpose of this website is to increase awareness about heart disease in woman. We provide statistics and the facts. We have dedicated a specific website to women because, in some cases, there are some differences in the signs and symptoms. However, our main purpose is to help find ways to prevent heart disease and promote heart healthy living. This is another reason we dedicated a website to women. When it comes to prevention, in most cases, it is about lifestyle, diet and exercise. Since our goal is to make heart healthy living not only tolerable, but fun, we do not believe it can be the same for men and women. Of course, there are many common themes but there are several differences as well. We intend to explore some of those differences and make a website about FUN heart healthy living for women. We know that proper diet and exercise helps the heart, reduces fat, and lowers cholesterol; all of these things increase the useful life of the heart. However, many people see diet as a four letter word and exercise as something that is something to endure rather than enjoy. We know that is exactly the challenge. If it is not fun or at least tolerable, it is never going to be sustainable. Before you start going full force into a diet and exercise program, it's important to understand some facts.

There are a few key factors to making heart healthy living sustainable.
- Find Support - seek out other people that are trying to do the same thing. Share recipes, ideas, and exercise together. When you do take time out to cheat a little and eat that chocolate fudge cake, do that together as well! It will be more fun as you will both enjoy it more!
- Sustainable Diet - take the time to find heart healthy recipes that you like, experiment with different recipes and various spices. There are some great tasting stir fry recipes out there. You will also notice that the cravings for the fatty foods go away after a few weeks. We are not saying that you will not crave a cheeseburger in paradise on occasion but the cravings for these foods become less and less as you change your dietary habits.
- Exercise for fun - When most people think of exercise, they start thinking of excuses and all of the reasons they don't have time and tell themselves that they'll get started next week. We're going to help you find ways to make exercise more fun or, at a minimum, help you find ways to increase physical activity by simple changes in daily habit patterns. People that exercise more frequently tend to have more energy and get sick less frequently. We want to help you find fun ways to be more physically active!
We hope to create an interactive website where people inspire each other. We hope people can find new heart healthy recipes and exercise routines together. We offer up our website to the community. We will post your recipes, ideas and eventually develop an interactive forum. Our website is about heart awareness, heart disease prevention, personal motivation and finding support.
